Desenho: percurso, sintaxe e inutilidade.

Vídeo produzido para o programa 5 minutos de desenhos da Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa no ano de 2022.

Filmagem> Natalia Loyola

Edição> Pati Black

This video is the result of experiments on the expansion of Drawing as an artistic language carried out during the lockdown that Lisbon went through in April 2020 caused by the pandemic of COVID-19. The experience of being locked up at home in a suspended time and in a day without relief is evidenced in the repetition and overlapping of the gestures of opening and closing the blind causing an interruption in the access to the outside of the house. "Aporia" was selected for the 6th Dobra de Cinema Experimental festival and is now also part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro.

The work consists of walks through the woods of Quinta das Relvas, within the scope of the artistic residence Um Grão Na Asa, in the Center of Portugal, made with a garment that captures elements of nature. The relationships of affections that occur between the body that walks and the natural space are mediated by this permissive object that protects, captures traces.

Understand the moving image as a possibility to resolve intimate issues of drawing. This was the reason that arose the need to enter the field of video art.
